Synopsis

The Metal Men spy their creator, Doctor William Magnus, passionately kissing one of his model girlfriends. The Metal Men are criticized by their fans for always battling against giant robots. To alter the flavor of their adventures, the Metal Men travel to Central City, to take on some human adversaries. They encounter a horde of motorcycling marauders, terrorizing the city. Before the Metal Men can swing into action, the Flash singlehandedly takes down the entire gang. The Metal Men try their luck in Gotham City, only to have Batman and Robin beat them to the punch, this time, in taking down a group of armed criminals. In Washington, D.C, the Metal Men spy Baroness Paula Von Gunther, and her minions, closing in on Wonder Woman, and her date, Steve Trevor. Without even getting up, or breaking eye contact with Trevor, Wonder Woman deflects the hail of bullets with her bracelets. Wonder Woman then rounds up Von Gunther, and her associates.Dejected, the Metal Men forego trips to Metropolis, Coast City, and Ivy Town, opting to, instead, just return to headquarters. There they find Magnus still passionately kissing his girlfriend. An armored car races into the Metal Men's compound. Platinum and Iron stop it before it can reach Magnus' laboratory. The driver of the car identifies himself as "Professor Bravo". He is accompanied by a fantastic, plastic humanoid, he calls "Ethy". The strange being collects all the money, that spilled out of the armored car, when it was forcibly stopped. Astonishingly, Professor Bravo drove onto the Metal Men's compound to elude the police. Iron attacks "Ethy", only to discover that the force of his blow has only caused "Ethy", short for Ethylene, to split into multiple plastic figures. One such figure, designated "Sty", short for Styrene, is able to repel Tin's attack by bouncing the other figures into Tin, as well as the other Metal Men.Professor Bravo arrogantly chastises the Metal Men for not having better knowledge of the properties of plastics....
